I am new to Ubuntu in general and just installed Xubuntu on and old Dell Inspiron 2650 form CD. Xubuntu works fine and i love it but the boot time is ridiculous and completely unacceptable. I turn on the computer and it says that Grub is loading but then a DOS like cursor appears in the top left corner for around 10 minutes and then it goes away and hours later Xubuntu starts up. I just need help on what is taking Xubuntu so long to boot up. I think it might be a CD problem but I'm not sure.
