I'm thinking of buying a wireless router. There are models with one, two, or three antennas. Does it really matter how many antennas a router has? I'm just curious.

The ones with multiple antennas are MIMO (multi-in, multi-out) devices. Basically, they use the spatial redundancy of the antennas to get a better signal, which means more range and faster speeds.

My personal opinion: I would wait until there is wide spread adoption. If you need speed, get a cable. If you need range, may be it's worth it to go MIMO.
