View Full Version : [xubuntu] Xfce window border theme in Compiz

When I use xfwm4, I can change the window border style from Settings -> Window Manager, and there are many themes available. However when I use Compiz, the only way I know to change the theme is to install gnome-control-center, which drags in a huge number of dependencies and lists very few themes.
It looks as if both are listing the same themes, but many are missing from gnome-control-center. So there should be some way to use the others in Compiz? I'm already using gtk-window-decorator.
Specifically I wanted to use the Totem theme which does not show up in the list. Others are similar but not quite the same. I can't find anything like it on gnome-look either; primarily big fancy themes, not a nice simple one like this.

different year, different person, same question.
is there another way changing the window-border-theme than installing gnome-control-center? gnome-control-center depends on so many packages (including gnome-session) I don't want to install it on a lightweight netbook.
