Hiya everyone,

I use Ubuntu 9.04 (Jaunty Jackalope) and was wondering is there any good "How to" books supporting it out there?

I realise that releasing a book every 6 months is not practical & that every book I seem to have seen is for an LTS version.

Makes sense I suppose but Ubuntu 8.04 doesnt have enough advancements for me and Ubuntu 9.10 breaks things I have working on Ubuntu 9.04 (In particular my 3G modem connection, which is my only connection to the internet:()

PS: Sorry if I posted in wrong section but couldn't see a relevant one.

There is a good handbook in the sticky notes in Absolute Beginner Talk. It is for 8.10, but you can use much of it anyway.

Thanks mörgæs,

This is the link below to "Ubuntu Pocket Guide & Reference" By Keir Thomas;

Thanks to mörgæs & Technoviking for pointing this out to me and of course Keir Thomas for providing the PDF Guide for free.

Whatever you do, don't get this (http://www.amazon.com/Official-Ubuntu-Book-Benjamin-Mako/dp/0137021208/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1263818331&sr=8-4) book. It's for complete newbies only. Big waste of money.
