Hello all,

I have installed Ubuntu on my desktop computer (Intel Pentium 4 / 1.12 GB RAM). Mother board - ASUS P4GE-MX (with HT Support) and On-board 6 channel ALC655 5.1 AC'97 audio codec.

The computer works fine with ubuntu for the last 3 months.

Now I would like to install a Graphics card (AGP) from Nvidia (with 512 MB RAM) and 5.1 sound system for the computer.

Can any one help me out;

(a) Is the above said graphics card compatible with Ubuntu and the mother board?
(b) If not, lower end graphics card (256 MB) is available in market? Pls suggest me one.
(c) Do I need to install any additional sound driver other than the On-board codec to enable 5.1 sound to function properly.

Thanks in advance.
