I want to install Ubuntu Karmic Koala using only 12gb of space for the os itself and the rest of my hard drive for free space. How do I do this? I do not have any other os on my computer at all and I do not have access to any other os. Right now my ubuntu installation is taking up 72gb of my hard drive. I have barely any free space. Please give me a solution, thank you.

80gb sea gate hard drive
1gb ddr1 ram
AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3500+
ATI Radeon X700

Joshua,

Are you saying the disk is 72GB and is full, or just that you want to have another partition and limit the size of the system partition?
