I was wondering how to make KDE look more like Windows 7 in Lucid Lynx. I've seen screenshots on these forums that are screenshots of KDE, though they have panels that look like Windows 7's Taskbar. In particular, they have only icons instead of the traditional title bars. How do you get such functionality in KDE?

Why would you want to do that?

One of my favorite things about it is that it DOESN'T look like Windows. I'm also using Gnome.

In kde the 'icons instead of titlebars' functionality is a plasmoid called smooth-tasks which can be found in kde-look...

To make it look more like Windows 7, you are best off searching kde-look for "windows 7", to get themes, icons, etc..

It is also worthwhile checking all the theme options in system settings, to see if there is anything you can tweak.

All I wanted was the Taskbar look. Thank you.
