1. The external USB disk and its partitions do not show up 80% of the time on start-up
2. The desktop Icons, when they show up, do not stay in same place. Useless.
3. The USB wireless keyboard and mouse do not work on start-up or quit working at random afterwards.
4. The USB stuff ALWAYS works on Windows, I have a dual boot setup.
5. Does anybody cares about this?
6. It's free and you get what you pay for!

Use the LTS 8.04 version of ubuntu .An LTS version is stable I dont know why ubuntu leads new bees to the latest version where they are most likly to have the most problems as the bug are still being discovered and soeted out in the layestest versions.

So here is a link to the LTS 8.04 version of ubuntu

http://releases.ubuntu.com/hardy/ubuntu-8.04.3-desktop-i386.iso

You will need to burn the iso to a cd or dvd and set ya pc to boot from it on start up.you can then install it from there.

As a beekeeper I take offense by your remark.
Not really, thanks for quick reply.
I am afraid I got too many packages installed to "backpaddle" to clean install.
Thanks anyway.
