Yes, that's right!

I'm using Ubuntu again! So nice to start using it again. I missed it for ages, man! :D

Even the alpha release of Lucid Lynx fits my needs.

And that's coming from a 16-year-old from California!

Tell us your story.

Why did you leave?

How long were you gone for?

What brought you back?

I left because my laptop borked

I was gone for 9 months

Managing to get my wireless to work brought me back :D

Well done. I myself have my 2 year Ubuntu anniversary coming up in April, I think. I've been quite happy since I started using it.

edit: no wait... 2 years as Ubuntu being my main platform is in August... I started using it on occasion in december 2006... dang.

April 2010 release, aka 10.4 aka "Lucid", is indeed the next LTS Ubuntu release.

I'm actually in the same boat!

I started with 6.06 and used Ubuntu through 8.10. Then I branched off trying out a bunch of different flavors of Linux and some other Unix operating systems. I just switched back to 9.10 earlier today. It feels good to be back. And I like the new default Human theme.

Which Linux distribution did you all use while you couldn't get Ubuntu to work?

So I don't think that you actually left. You just took a break. The fact that you came back meant that you knew, in the back of your mind, that you would try out a newer version of Ubuntu and see if it fixed your wireless.
