View Full Version : [ubuntu] X configuration tool in Gnome

Are there any configuration tools for xorg.conf that run on Gnome? The reason I ask is that I ran again into the issue of having a ragged right edge of the desktop using an old ATI Rage XL. On a similar system (same graphics card) running OpenSuSE I was able to fix that by adding an option to the ati driver to optimize for a flatpanel.
I looked in many places and cannot find any system configuration tools for Gnome/Ubuntu except for setting the screen resolution. Sure, I could edit the file manually, but I do not know exactly how and where in the conf file to insert the option and past experience shows that I tend to screw things up. So I rather use a GUI tool (that I can blame later :P).

Any help is greatly appreciated.
