Hi i am a total newbie in this and i got lot of questions in mind and hope someone can help answering me doubts.

Firstly, i have downloaded ubuntu server edition 9.10. It is possibe for ubuntu server edition to work together with window OS?
Is this be consider as dual boot?

Secondly, i intend to try it out on my laptop which uses microsoft xp home edition. It is possible? With that do i download the 32bit server edition or 64 bit one? As i thought is 32bit so i downloaded the 32bit one.

Lastly, as i have tried to burn the iso image file in a CD and reboot my laptop, but the screen just show "SYSLINUX 3.83 2009-10-05 EBIOS Copyright(C) 1994-2009 H. Peter Anvin et al"
and it hang there. I then try to put into thumb by following the guide on USB Memory Stick Booting. But same thing happened.

Will be appreciated for the help. Been reading here and there and trying out very long. Thanks in advance.
