chaning ubuntu runlevel?

Hi everyone, I want to change the runlevel in my ubuntu to be like backtrack for example. I want to log in from the command line and whenever I feel I need the graphical interface I type "startx". How can I do that? your help is highly appreciated. Thanks

Append 'text' to your kernel options in GRUB.

Ubuntu doesn't use runlevels.
