After the latest update, YouTube no longer works in Firefox (however, embedded YouTube videos work just fine), and all I get is this:
http://ubuntuforums.org/attachment.php?attachmentid=143652&d=1263534747

This doesn't happen in others. I have both Google Chrome and Konqueror (from Ubuntu's repos) installed, and they work just fine on YouTube (actually, Konqueror seems to have some issues with clicks, but that's a separate thing). I even made sure that I truly do have the latest version of Flash installed on here.

I don't understand how the videos will work when embedded, but not directly on YouTube itself.

Anyone know what's going on?

The only thing that comes to mind for me is that perhaps you have some add-on that is misfunctioning with the recent upgrade of Firefox. For example, if you had an add-on that was made so you could download videos, perhaps it is interfering with with the YouTube scripts somehow. I would try disabling all add-ons and see what happens.

Try to install opera, I had so many problems with Firefox I have drop it.

I can't get YouTube working in IceCat either, but I prefer using Midori (http://www.twotoasts.de/index.php?/pages/midori_summary.html) or Epiphany (http://projects.gnome.org/epiphany/) anyway.
