Just FYI: There is a "Skype Test Call" feature to test your mic and audio.

Actually, I'm just getting bored having nothing to do in Ubuntu anymore. I kind of liked it better before I solved all my problems.

Guess I'll go back to programming now...

Because we have several computers here at my house, I once tried skyping myself. It worked and because they were so near each other, the microphone started, I don't know, making funny noises.

And whenever I talked, there was an echo!:D

I had a devil of a time for a while getting Skype to work for me and for my mic. Sometimes it worked, other times it didn't.

Plus my camera would work in Cheese, but not in Skype. Confused the heck out of me.

Then I found out my laptop has an internal mic, and THAT was what was working when it worked. My whole video camera Skype doesn't like, not just the video part.

So on one side I'm relieve that the mystery is solved. On the other hand, I wonder how long has that Mic been there ....
