Hi guys,
Was wondering if anyone knows whether it's possible to downgrade xserver-xorg from the version used in Intrepid (7.4) to the Hardy one (7.3)
This is because I need to use the legacy nvidia-glx-71 driver which isn't compatible with xserver-xorg 7.4, as per
http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=122436
When I tried forcing the version of xserver-xorg in Synaptic, it wanted to take out most of the system including Xfce.
Is there a way to downgrade a package and automatically have all it's dependents also downgraded ?
Many thanks,
Dave.
