Do you have any song that makes you shake, rolls your socks off, makes your heard beat faster, which was the song you played with your first love?

Come on, share it if you dare.

Ok, mine was totally the 80's.
Don't Dream It's Over ~ Crowded House

It makes me always dream and think of better times. Well, those times anyway :):guitar:

I can't point to one song and call it MY song. I tend to be a romantic. So here we go...

"How can you mend a broken heart." by the Bee Gees

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pTQiT58AbE0&feature=related

"Vincent" by Don McLean

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dipFMJckZOM

+1 for Crowded House song "Don't dream it's over" (Shame about their drummer, Brian Hester, haven't listened to much of their newer stuff with their current drummer)

Worthy of mention is the classic Deep Purple track, "Smoke on the water" (even Pat Boone has done a version!)

The whole of Live After Death by Iron Maiden will fit all those categories.

However for sheer intensity in a single song, I would vote for ....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h6iwrBlb1Bo if I'm feeling mellow, or......

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g5iAeKNOgBo (play it LOUD) if I want to get pumped.

Ahhhh.... university days. (am I showing my age?)

Mike Oldfield's "Tubular Bells".

Not really a song per se, but more a 2 part piece, both 20 minutes long. One of the most original pieces ever IMO.

Probably Epic by Faith No More.
It used to be my alarm, set at full blast it made the room tremble (as well as annoyed the person in the next room in halls), and is probably one of my favourite songs of all time.
My girlfriend didn't appreciate having to scrape herself off the ceiling every morning though, so we now have a more civilised alarm system. :(

Hmm, probably a Dave Matthews Band song. "Everyday" is one that I love, especially the music video. "The Stone" and "#41" are another couple of cool ones, oh and "Squirm" off their latest album is a work of art.

That always reminds me of some wonderful times.

As far as music in general goes, I don't have "a song". I listen to quite a variety of music.

Song- Comfortably Numb by Pink Floyd
Album- all of Pulse disk2 (live) by Pink Floyd
A close second is "A Pocket Full of Stones" from David Gilmour's solo album "On An Island".

As an aside, I got to see them perform Pulse and other songs live at the Oakland Coliseum. Great evening.

Not Even The Trees by Hootie And The Blowfish is probably my favourite song of all time, I love the acoustic flow and the lyrical delivery. I also get chills when I hear 'Til I Collapse by Eminem and Nate Dogg, it's an incredible performace by Eminem on probably his best track of all time.

my Fave songs are:
"Anywhere but here" by Behavior
http://www.last.fm/music/Behavior/_/Anywhere+but+Here
It's one of the great unknown tracks from 2002 (used for a TV show a few years back)

and

it's between "Cloudbusting" or "Running up that Hill" By Kate Bush
Both are my generation tracks! (I grew up listening to Kate Bush)
All 3 are great for working out to and even working up a sweat while walking. ^_^

Honorable mentions to Nirvana's acoustic cover of "Where Did You Sleep Last Night" and Metallica's "Sanitarium".

Do you have any song that makes you shake, rolls your socks off, makes your heard beat faster, which was the song you played with your first love?

To me, *The Song* is Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody. That song cover the first three points. The last one could be Nilsson's "Without you".

It wasn't his, he covered it.
Without You was originally written and performed by Badfinger.
