Salvage ntfs 500g Data Drive formatted to ext4 during Ubuntu 9.1 Install.
1: Had Ubuntu 8.04 running on 6g drive. (It saw my ntfs 500g Pata drive E: just fine.
2: Did a sector by sector copy to 160g drive
3 Removed 6g and replace with 160g drive
4 Seemed to boot but never saw a GUI screen
5: Installed Ubuntu 9.1 (Went well but torn screen during Name Password,Time etc entry.
6 Reboot everything came up fine.
7 Went to look at original 500g E data drive. NOTHING THERE
8: Seems to be a EXT4 file system now.
9 YES I messed up.
10 Question: CAN I GET MY DATA DRIVE BACK TO NTFS WITHOUT DATA LOSE

Made a sector by sector copy to another 500g drive.

This is my first post so don’t be to hard on me for screwing up.

Thanks
