Hi,

I was trying to install Karmic Koala on my machine which has a AMD 64 processor with 256 MB RAM.
I burnt two DVDs of the ISOs available from the following links:

1) http://releases.ubuntu.com/karmic/
2) http://www.ubuntu.com/GetUbuntu/download

Both the installations looked like they went fine, but :
1) The installation from the first link hung up after I click on the "Restart Now" button, when I get the message "The installation is complete Now. Click Restart to continue". It showed a command prompt screen, but the keyboard and mouse stopped working.
2) The second installation went completely fine and when I restarted my Ubuntu desktop appeared. But then my computer freezes and no mouse click or keyboard buttons do anything.

I tried both these DVDs 2-3 times.
Does anyone know what can be going wrong?
Thanks

Sef

Not enough ram. Ubuntu should really have 384 mb minimum, but 512 mb would be better.
