Complete newbie. I've just loaded a new copy of 9.10 on to a Windows XP desktop and I've had a few problems.

First I got the flashing/flickering login and password issue.
I resolved that by opening in recovery mode and then using update manager to download all the latest updates, 176 of them which did surprise me but there you go.

So now when I try to boot into the full system it says it can only operate in low graphics mode because:
open/dev/fbo : no such file or directory
NV(0): no valid modes found
Screens found but none have useable configuration
My PC has an NVIDIA geForce2 GTS video card.

Any ideas for what I should do next would be appreciated.
