accidental deleted lots of stuff (drivers)

i can boot up but not use my keyboard or mouse im stuck at login screen

any way to re install without having to lose my stuff

would appreciate any help!! :(

Is your $HOME on a seperate partition from the boot partition???

Not on this end, have to wait for some more adept posters! I'm sure there's probably something you can do via the LiveCD and/or the gparted liveCD. I'ld imagine boot with the gparted CD and when you're done making another $HOME you could boot from the LiveCD and mount the drive to copy $HOME to the newly created partition. Or, wait a bit! :(
