I'm am trying to configure a VMware Kubuntu 8.04 32-bit virtual appliance to par with my 64-bit Kubuntu 9.04 workstation. I built a glade-3 tool on the Ku9.04 WS that uses GtkBuilder (via glade-3 v3.6.3). But the glade-3 on the Ku8.04 VA is version 3.4.5, which does not yet interface to GtkBuilder.
The Ku8.04 VA came with the Adept installer, which shows no upgrade for glade-3, so I installed synaptic package manager. It says that the 3.4.5-Oubnuntu1 installed is the latest version.
I suppose I will have to use apt-get. Can anyone tell me how to install glade-4 v3.6.3+ on this VA?
