View Full Version : Business e-mail naming...

I am thinking of making new e-mail address just for my resume.. work.. etc
But my last name is kind of long and hard to pronounce. So I am a little afraid to use it in my e-mail (the possibility of other people to mistype it and result in miss-sending of the letter). 99% of the people I know misspell it or mispronounce.
So what do you think I could use? my name and some numbers.. like 2010.. etc or?

firstname.lastinitial@domain.com
If it's for work, make it look as professional as possible.

what i do for personal email
myname@dayofswords.com
though dayofswords.com doesnt sound very pro of a domain
but control is nice
could just forward it through a gmail account to hide your favorite username
EDIT: didnt mean for that to sound advert-y, trying to emphasize the use a personal domain name for business

Thanks. That worked for me.
I used dzh as "lastinitial".. I hope it would not be problem for someone to mistype it.

What is your last name? I mean its ok if you don't tell but maybe we could gauge if it is ok?
