USB Drive - "Boot Error"

I am attempting to install Ubuntu 9.10 on a system that is currently running 7.10... The computer does not have a DVD drive (only a CD drive) and i only have DVD-R's available to me, so I am attempting to install via USB drive. I have the drive all set up correctly, but every time i try to boot it on my system it does not work. I know that it is set up correctly because it DOES work on a different system running Vista. The error i get says "Boot Error" just before the GRUB loading screen.

Does anybody have any ideas on what my problem may be?
