HI,
I know there are a few threads about this topic, however as far as I know none of them did mention a successful way to do that.
So I wonder if installing ubuntu on an USB key using unetbootin or cd2usb for instance (or perhaps directly on the PS3 hard disk from a computer?) would allow me to boot from it with the PS3?
If everything is located on the USB stick (including the bootloader) perhaps it has a chance to work, hasn't it? And when you just want to run a game, you'd simply have to unplug the key. :D
Since I don't really have a clue on how this limitation has been implemented by Sony, and haven't a PS3 yet to be able to give it a try myself, I don't know whether it could work or not ... and even If I could find a ps3 fat that is currently still sold, the newest mode is smaller, draw less power and also quieter :/
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
PS: I guess it's only one question per thread? Because I have some others but not regarding a PS3 slim installation ...
