Hello, I have a problem with the positions of the panels.
I want the panel, which is per default on top of the screen(the panel with the start menu, etc), at the very bottom of the screen and the taskbar above it:

But, after every login, the taskbar is again at the bottom and the start menu etc are above it.
How can I fix this? Using Ubuntu 9.10 but had the same problem in all previous versions.
Thanks in advance

Have you tried rearranging the applets instead of the panels? For example, try removing the Menu Bar by right-clicking on it, and selecting "Remove from Panel". Then re-add it by right clicking on the correct panel, "Add to Panel" and select the "Menu Bar".

Moving the window list is trickier. To remove it make sure you right click on the area to the right of the list. I circled it in red in the attached image.
