Hello Everyone,
Is there any house building or blueprint software in the breezy repositories?
Or, if you know of a program that is not in the repositories. Please point me in the right direction.
I have no problems compiling from source.
Thanks,
Joey

I am trying qCAD but its not exactly what I am looking for. Anyone know of any CAD software specifily designed for house building. For example I am looking for something to help design a wood patio.
Thanks,
Joey

Hi,

QCad is a fair cad program. Not the best, but not the worst I've used either.

It will do architectal drawings, though it seems to be aimed at quick and dirty. Rather than full and elegant. The symbol libary does have some windows and doors and a few interior items. But you would have to create your own symbols to add to it, (as would any drafter with most cad programs). If you didn't install it when you installed QCad use synaptic to find qcad again. Then install it.

Otherwise there isn't much out there yet for Linux based cad programs.

I haven't tried them but how about g3house (http://sourceforge.net/projects/h3d/) or someone suggested using q3radiant (http://www.q3radiant.com)
