I'm run Ubuntu 9.10 and installed KDE. From a KDE session, I "switch user", it pops up a window saying "session was locked by <username>", the only options I have are; unlock with password or cancel which give me my screen saver.

How can I get switch user working under KDE?

thanks

same here!

How can I start a new session while the one I#m using is still running.
I can't find any information on this topic. Maybe we're missing something really obvious?

thx, p.

Hmm, it works in 4.4 rc1.

What happens if you open up the run box (Alt+F2) and merely type "new session"?

"new session" does nothing, the same result as if I typed in a number of random characters. If I type in "echo $PATH" it returns "/home/stephen/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/games"
