I have the default installation of Ubuntu 9.10 so I'm using gnome. I needed to install some programs like KDevelop and Kate so I decided to install KDE using apt-get. Now whenever I try to run programs like kcalc or kalarm I get a dialog with something like
Configuration file "/home/*/.ke/share/config/kcalcrc" not writable. Please contact your system administratorWhen I try to open Kate, KDevelop or KWrite for example I get a Crash window (from The KDE Crash Handler).
I think the first problem can be solved by giving permissions to each config file to each user (chmod), but this could be tedious since I don't know which files need new permissions.
How can I fix this? How about the second problem?
I will really appreciate your help!

(P.D. Please be as explicit as possible, as you can tell I'm a newbie)
