View Full Version : [ubuntu] No internet access with safecom router with 9.10

I've installed ubuntu 9.10 64bit onto a usb flash drive and found that even though I can connect to my safecom adsl modem/router I can't get an internet connection, the previous versions work and it works with a Linksys router. Is this a known issue with a fix?

I'm using a Toshiba satelite pro!

I've tried it with ubuntu version 9.04 and there is no problem with internet, the problem is 9.10 will connect to my safecom router but will not display any web pages!

That output looks good: IP connection OK, and you have a nameserver.

Can you describe what the problem is?

And, further test:

host www.xs4all.nl
mtr -r -c4 www.google.com

Here's mine:

The problem is as I mentioned that I can connect to my Safecon router but am not able to display any web pages or get any data traffic outside the router, I am able to connect to my brothers Linksys router with no problem. This happens with wired and wireless connections!
