ISO difficulty

Hello. I'm wondering if anyone here can help:

I downloaded the newest ISO to my Intel Mac, which I was going to burn to a DVD. The MAC, apparently, does not recognize the file and thus won't let me burn it.

Any thoughts or suggestions?



Also, I am trying to load Ubuntu onto my IBM Thinkpad T40. Does anyone know where I can find a specific reference to doing so?
