View Full Version : [ubuntu] How do you edit menu entries

... and don't point me to : http://www.ubuntugeek.com/howto-add-entries-in-gnome-menu.html or you will get shot !

I run my 9.10 through NX ... which has caused issues where the "unlock" button was greyed out on Admin tools (down to a policy feature, which I fixed in 8.10).

Anyway, when I right click, and go "Edit Menus", here's what *I* see ...

and btw the "Defaults" button doesn't work.

Can anyone explain how I can add a custom launcher to the menus ?

You could try system>preferences>main menu.Should look like this:

nope .. not got that menu entry. And it's not unchecked in the "edit menus" option ....

That should be standard in 9.10 though.It is 9.10 your using?So,you don't have this?

I am able to just right click on applications in the top panel. Open edit menus and say new item.
