View Full Version : [ubuntu] What is it with OO.o and the menu bar font color?

For a tutorial I'm creating, I've redone my desktop in Linux Mint 8 (based on Karmic) as a Windows XP look-alike (for the sake of the unconverted masses, mind you). I've tried several of the XP look-alike themes on GNOME-Look, and with the exception of one that uses a light blue background on moused-over menu items, which wasn't good enough for me, as I'll need to do a screenshot where a drop-down menu is visible, I'd swear that OpenOffice.org is using WHITE fonts on a light menu bar background, as shown in the attached screenshot.

Thankfully, OpenOffice.org is the only application that's giving me fits with the XP look-alike themes. Has anyone found a solution to this?

Thanx in advance,
Fred in St. Louis

That one may help: I like my dark theme but not my dark open office (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1344076).

Nope, turns out I already have that "%F" in there. :-( I'm thinking about trying a Windows Vista-ish or 7-ish theme instead and see if OO.o does any better with something like that instead...

No, I was thinking about changing the openoffice.org script.
