View Full Version : [ubuntu] Firefox - Oversized textbox in forms :(

Since a while, my Firefox displays all form textboxes ultra-long (see attachment) :(
It is in ALL the web pages. And it ruins all the designs... Really annoying.
I have no idea what the reason is and since when it is like that.
I am using: Firefox 3.5.8pre on Ubuntu 9.10.

Any ideas? Please help!

You check and make sure it's not an extension by starting Firefox in safemode: firefox -safe-mode
. Since it's still not a stable release, Firefox 3.5.8pre, it could just be a Firefox bug.

Unfortunately that doesn't help :(
Also firefox-3.6 does not fix the problem.

Any other ideas? Maybe something in the about::config?

I'm having the same problem. I have tried starting Firefox in safe mode but that doesn't help.

However, it doesn't happen on all pages - only on certain pages, but I don't know what's different on those pages. I have attached screenshots of the problem.
