I'm looking to buy a new printer and would like it to be fully compatible with linux. I need it to print, scan, and have wireless. I was looking into the Epson Workforce 610, which I've seen that people have had some success with in printing, but I'm not sure if anyone has gotten wireless scanning to work on it. Does anyone know? Does anyone have any opinion on a different printer?
Thanks in advance!

HP printers have always been effortless for me. I haven't used a wireless one before though.

HP is what I would recommend. They have Linux drivers for most of their printers. Check out their site: HPLIP (http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/supported_devices/index.html).

Brother also has good Linux support, and drivers for its products. I've had good experiences with both Brother and HP. I haven't used Epson, but I've heard bad things about Epson, Canon, and Lexmark products with Linux.

Wow...that HPLIP site is great. Thanks for the info. Looks like I'll be going with an HP. Now I've just got to choose one...
Thanks guys!
