TinyOgg is a service designed to get rid of Flash-based videos by converting them to the free Ogg format. It is not the only service to accomplish this, but it exists to replace some existing services that are built upon non-free, non-published source code. TinyOgg is a GNU Generation project.

Useless if it can't convert this: http://www.homestarrunner.com/sbemail205.swf

All homestarrunner audio is encoded in mp3 as well, so even if we can convert it, it's against patent laws in the USA since we don't have the MP3 decoder/encoder.

Isn't it great to break the law and not be punished? :(

It would not be in the patent holder's best interest to sue people who aren't selling anything. It would only hurt MP3 and convince people to use Ogg.

Sorry to hear that, maybe you should move to a country without dumb laws.

Psumi: It seems you're making assumptions about the location of their servers and whether or not they have purchased a license. Personally, I have purchased more mp3 licenses than I currently use, so I have no qualms about using LAME or other encoders (or about others using such encoders on my behalf).

Interesting, but not very practical. It's easier to download the video.

I'm still waiting for a video to be converted....
