Hi,

I've got a dual monitor setup with an ati-radeon HD 4600 series video card. I used the ati control center to choose the multi-display desktop so I can drag applications between windows. However, I'm running into a problem w/vmware player 3.0 running in fullscreen mode.

For some reason, whenever i maximize vmware player to run in fullscreen, it switches monitors for awhile (it ping-pongs back and forth) and eventually settles in a non-fullscreen mode.

I've tried using xinemera as well but the problem there is that there is a flickering on my vmware instance (windows xp - and it's very noticable while running MS office).

any ideas on how to better control vmware player? has anyone seen a flickering of applications w/in an xp instance?

I'm running ubuntu 9.10 64 bit edition.

thanks

Well, I've gotten no where with this one. I'm guessing it has something to do w/having installed the propietary ATI drivers but uninstalling them didn't make a difference. Installed a clean fedora which works and maybe i'll re-install ubuntu one day.
