View Full Version : [ubuntu] Migration guide or upgrade guide from 32-bit to 64-bit

I couldn't seem to find anything out there on this, but here's the question.
I'm running 32-bit Ubuntu (LTSP), currently 9.10 and I'm going to do a fresh install of 64-bit 9.10, but it's a multiuser work environment, and I need to migrate the current user accounts, home dirs, and others. So here's the main question. Are there any guides out there on doing this? I imagine it isn't as simple as copying /etc/shadow, /etc/groups onto the new installation, but I imagine there has to be a way to do it. I'm running with two partitions, one root and one swap right now.
Thanks for any help anyone has to offer.
