Now you can call it "Linux ON Humans" :) I thought it was putting a Human Theme on Ubuntu, not an Ubuntu Theme on Humans?

Actually, the colors work pretty well with your skin tone, so it blends without losing the logo colors as it fades.

That's pretty hardcore; but I have a tattoo of Spider-Man on my left shoulder so I am not in a position to judge. ;)

Spidey is classic, at least for another few dozen generations.

It appears that the tattoo artist put a black border around the logo. That clearly violates the Ubuntu logo usage guidelines.

I guess it looks less wimpy than a penguin, but I'm not sure if Ubuntu's gonna' be the best distro for personal use until the day you die. XD MAYBE.

But yeah, don't know whether to give you props or question your sanity. Either way, your elbow's probably the least silly place to put it, good choice.

I have a tattoo, and I intend to get another; I will never get a Brand Name Logo tattooed on me; I design my own tats, and have an artist I trust to faithfully represent them.

Okay, now, all that said, a tattoo is a personal thing, and whatever you want to do is way cool, and it looks like a very nice interpretation of the Ubuntu Logo. The logo itself is a very aesthetically pleasing design, so no matter what, you will have a nice tattoo to take with you into your old age.

Enjoy, thats the entire point.

Going purely by your join date/post count i`m assuming* your relatively new to Ubuntu so i just hope you dont have second thoughts after 10.04 is released.
If your a dual-booter though perhaps you could get the Windows logo on your other arm.;)

I sincerely hope that this was done in photo-shop or the GIMP, the alternative is just too horrible to contemplate.

I don't normally resort to shouting and swearing but,

IT'S JUST A F***ING OPERATING SYSTEM.

Seriously if you are so devoted to a piece of software that you feel the need to go and get it tattooed on your body then there is something seriously lacking. Go out, do stuff!

Doesn't matter if it's a real tattoo or not, doesn't even matter what the logo is from; all that matters is that the bearer likes it. After all, 99.999999% of the population won't know what it's from.

I have a FMA tattoo on my upper right arm; not because I thought it was an uber series, I just liked a design and wanted one tattoo.
