Hi there,
one day ago I already mentioned my problems, but since they have evolved.
When I start up Ubuntu (8.04) I get tot the log in screen. Aftert entering my password I get a Ubuntu brownish screen with in the right bottom corner a little window which says:
The configuration defaults of the GNOME Power Management have not been installed correctly. Please contact your system manager.
And from here on nothing moves, and the window stays blank.
Problem is: on this machine I am the system manager and unable to solve this problem.
Anyone out there who can give me a hand in solving this?
I'd be quite obliged

Use a live Ubuntu CD to get to your data ...... safest way ,,,, then back it up to a USB drive ........
