Can't install from CD 8.10

I am currently using 7.04 and want to upgrade to 8.10. I have an installation disc in my CDROM. The disc works, I have used it on another windows computer. I restart my computer and nothing happens. I try the exe files, but it says that there is no program that can run a file like this. What can I do?
