How do I moblin interface into Ubuntu

After my attempts at installing Moblin failed due to repeated crashes of the installer, I would really like to have the interface of Moblin used as a desktop environment in Ubuntu i.e. can switch between them at log in. How would I do that exactly?

<bump> I heard that there was a project to do something like this, but it was abandoned. What is the name of the desktop environment that Moblin uses? Or is it something so unique I can only use Moblin just so I can use it?

No matter. I got Moblin onto my computer :-D
