Turns out Best Buy lie and scam(by saying that they are optimizing computers when what they do is more called "installing updates" and "deleting the shortcuts to the crap we put there").
Now there's a surprise.

A surprise? Hardly.
They're just a shower of capitalist <insert inflammatory description here>. Screw people for as much as you can and as often as you can in the name of profit, nothing new in the grand scope of things.

That said, when buying a new machine, anything other than the hardware itself excluding the OEM installation of Windows (if you want Windows that is) is a complete and utter waste of money.
