I am receiving an error that states it cannot bring up wlan0 when I attempt to start networking in Intrepid (8.10). I am using kde3 and I can access wireless networks and have no problem getting online. I can also use ifup and iwconfig no problem; however networking doesn't want to work. I tried modifying /etc/network/interfaces and adding the address, netmask, and gateway, but that didn't help. I am not using static ip, but rather dhcp. I tried changing this as well, but that had no positive effect either. Please let me know if you have any suggestions. I'm using b43 for my wireless driver, and wicd/wicd-client for wireless connections. I'm connected to the AP when attempting to start networking also...
