What is KolourPaint ?

KolourPaint is a free, easy-to-use paint program for KDE (http://www.kde.org/) (a desktop environment for UNIX).
It aims to be conceptually simple to understand; providing a level of functionality targeted towards the average user. KolourPaint is designed for daily tasks like:

Painting - drawing diagrams and "finger painting.
Image Manipulation - editing screenshots and photos; applying effects
Icon Editing - drawing clipart and logos with transparency

Download:

apt-get install kolourpaint4
I am a Gnome fan but in my opinion its better than GnuPaint (http://www.gnu.org/software/gpaint/) , plus it's looks like MS-Paint so it remind my the old days. :p

Just installed KolourPaint and opened a small icon image. KolourPaint then warns, "The image contains translucency which is not fully supported..-stuff removed-.. If you save this image, the loss of translucency will become permanent". No translucency? Very disappointed. This is 2011.
