Hello! I've decided to try Ubuntu today, since my windows tells me that I have a fake license (even though I dont :???:) and downloaded the exe file to install. Once installed, I reboot my computer, and choose to boot Ubuntu. But all I can get to is a loading screen with the ubuntu logo on it. After a few seconds, the logo turns really strange (just as if I turned on 256-color mode or something), and then goes completely black, just as if the computer was turned off. I'm guessing that this has something to do with my video card, so I updated my drivers, but it still doesn't work.

Seems like you tried to install by wubi.
You should have try :first boot from Live CD and then Dual booting with windows.
