Hello all,

I have XP and 9.10 installed on one hard drive. Is it possible to switch between Ubuntu and XP (or vice versa) with out restarting my computer?

Thanks.

NO if they each are installed to a partition of their own. But if you run XP in virtual box from Ubuntu you will not have to reboot to run xp. But of course there are limitations. You will need enough RAM to run both at once. At minimum I would say 1 to 1.5 GB. You will be asked when setting up virtualbox how much RAM to allot to it.

Also, processor's speed is a big factor in Virtual machine issue.
I'm using virtualbox with P4 (1.5GHz),756MB ram. while running it, ram doesn't load too much but processor is being busy more than 90% almost always.
