I downloaded the Ubuntu ISO file and burned it to a CD-ROM. Booting from the CD on my laptop I select the language and selection screen appears with all the F1-F6 options below. I've tried all the selections and options through the F keys but that's as far as the install will go. My laptop is a Dell and it's only 3 years old with plenty of memory and HD space. What do I need to do?

Does a screen appear that one of the options is install? Then you choose all your keyboard, time, ect. ect. then should go to partition table in program called gparted. If not burn new CD at a nice slow speed and try new CD.

If that doesn't work; try the Alternate CD

Thanks. I did a md5sum and all was good with the iso file. I'll try to burn another CD and give it a go.
