Update install error

Hi i am getting this error trying to install updates it is the last update of the current available ones

E: /var/cache/apt/archives/openoffice.org-core_1%3a2.4.1-11ubuntu2.2_i386.deb: short read in buffer_copy (backend dpkg-deb during `./usr/lib/openoffice/program/libchartcontroller680li.so')

I am currently using

Ubuntu 8.10 {intrepid)

There were problems with open office a short time ago. Mine didn't work while compiz was enabled. I find now it works great!

Rest assured, it'll work for you soon.

it could well be compiz as since that has been installed iv had alot of problems with browsers crashing
