View Full Version : [ubuntu] ndiswrapper doesn't work in 9.10

I've upgraded to 9.10 on my laptop and now the wireless network doesn't work properly. I tried starting with the troubleshooting guide ndiswrapper -l, installed ndiswrapper-common, and now ndiswrapper complains that ndiswrapper-utils-1.9 is missing. I can't install it because the system says it's been obsoleted and replaced by ndiswrapper-common. So that line of testing isn't an option on 9.10

But.. the connection problems are solved with a re-boot. However coming out of hibernation, the laptop will connect, but keep dropping and reconnecting and the connection is unworkably slow even when it is connected. Since version 8.10 never connected at all when the laptop came out of hibernation I'm used to having to reboot, so I can live with it. But I did so hope that I wouldn't have to restart my laptop when I get home in the evening just so I can connect to the rest of the home network.
