Restoring GRUB without LiveCD

Hello,

Ubuntu 9.10

I have Ubuntu 9.10 installed on one of my partitions. However, I needed to install Redhat 5.3 on a separate partition. However, doing this broke my GRUB for Ubuntu.

However, I can't boot into my Ubuntu. And I don't have my Live CD.

Is there another way I can restore my GRUB for Ubuntu?

Open that link and you'll see another link close to the top of the page that will take you to Super Grub Disk.
Look for the 1.21 SG2D Cdrom in one of those mirrors, sgd_cdrom_1.21.iso.gz, and download it.

There's a new Super Grub Disk that has GRUB2 in it, it's only a small download, (very small).
Download that and burn it to a CD, then have a read down the rest of that page and you'll see how to use the CD to boot Ubuntu from CLI mode.

Well, you can try from Menu mode first if you want, you might be lucky.
But, it's pretty easy to figure out how to use CLI Mode GRUB, and when you do you'll be almost bulletproof. :)
